Kingswood Pupils Perform Strongly In Orienteering Championships

The British Schools Orienteering Championships were held yesterday in the beautiful surroundings of Stowe Park in Buckinghamshire.

Cold but sunny weather made for excellent running conditions and all twelve Kingswood School competitors enjoyed the experience of competing against schools from all parts of the country.

There were lots of good performances but particular congratulations to Freddie, Alex, Izzy and Henry who all achieved top ten finishes on their courses. We had complete teams of three finishers in the Year 8 Girls, Year 8 Boys and Year 9 Boys competitions and are hopeful that there will be further opportunities for competition later in the year.

Mr Davies would like to thank Miss Wilson for all of her help with the weekly orienteering activity and this weekend’s trip.
