Gold DofE culminates with Lake District Expedition

As term finished for most of the Kingswood community, there were 38 students who finished the year completing the Gold Duke of Edinburgh qualifying expedition in the Lake District during the first week of the summer holidays.

The Year 13 and Year 12 students were able to scale some of the highest peaks in Cumbria, most notably High Raise, and consequently were able to enjoy the fantastic weather and views that we were blessed with. For many students this will have represented the culmination of their Duke of Edinburgh journey and so it was pleasing they had the opportunity to do this. 

Well done to all of those participants that were involved and thank you to the staff that were so crucial in helping support the expedition during the first week of their Summer Holiday.
