Kingswood School in Bath is delighted to have yet again been recognised as a Top 10 school in the Southwest region of the Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025. This ranking – based on the combined performance of A-levels and GCSEs – cements Kingswood’s position as the best performing 11-18 co-educational day and boarding school in the region.

The Parent Power guide recognises high-achieving academic results on a school-by-school basis, allowing parents to compare schools in a national database. This summer saw Kingswood’s A-level cohort achieve outstanding results with over 81% of all exams graded A*, A or B.  At GCSE, 63% of grades were 7 to 9 (Equivalent of A/A*); 41% of grades were 8 and 9; and four pupils achieved an incredible set of 10 straight 9s.

Kingswood’s Headmaster Andrew Gordon-Brown commented: “This recognition reflects the school's dedication to providing an exceptional educational experience. We aim for our pupils to fulfil their academic potential, but also to leave us as confident young people with a broad range of attributes and interests to serve a lifetime. We nurture pupils’ talents, ignite their passions and inspire excellence in all endeavours.”

Helen Davies, editor of Parent Power, said: “As well as celebrating the academic excellence of our top schools, it is fantastic to see how they are shaping their students to be lifelong learners ready for the 21st century.”
