The Bath Magazine Celebrates James Linegar's Rugby Achievements

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupil, James Linegar, who has recently been featured in The Bath Magazine as a rising star in the world of rugby. We are proud to see James's achievements acknowledged, and look forward to supporting him as he continues to develop his talents and pursue his aspirations in the world of rugby.
Head of Athletic Development and 1st XV Coach, Mr Webb, said: “James arrived at Kingswood in Year 9 and his natural ability in all sports was immediately clear. He eagerly embraced everything the school had to offer, but his passion for rugby always shone through.
“His connection with Bath Rugby and England U18s/U20s means his week is often filled with coaching sessions, physio appointments, and sports psychology. My main goal is to ensure James thrives both as a rugby player and as a well-rounded young person, despite the unique demands of high-level sport. The team here at Kingswood provides him with support, including strength and conditioning, video analysis, skill development sessions, and guidance on managing his time, focus, and energy levels.
“The demands on young athletes today are significant, and James has surrounded himself with other pupils who share similar ambitions. Whether through his close friendships with an England U18 hockey player, fellow academy players, or connections with a national champion track athlete, these pupils share more in common than might appear from the outside.
“We’ll all continue to follow his progress with pride, supporting him in his aspirations while helping him balance these commitments with his academic responsibilities and school life.”
