Personal Assistant to the Director of Finance and Operations

We are seeking a Personal Assistant to support our Director of Finance and Operations. This is a pivotal role within the School, requiring a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised individual acting as the first point of contact for the DFO and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include complex diary management, inbox monitoring, financial administration support, organising meetings, liaising with staff and stakeholders, the maintenance of administrative systems, filing, and general secretarial and administrative duties. 

You will need to be adaptable, discreet, and able to manage a range of tasks with professionalism and warmth, ready to respond to the ever-changing needs of a busy school environment.

The role offers an exciting opportunity for a confident and positive individual with appropriate experience and proven high-level organisational and communication skills. 

In return, we offer a generous and competitive salary, in the region of £33k - £35k, with excellent benefits and a supportive and inclusive work environment with opportunities for professional development. This is a full-time, full-year post.

Domestic Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to support our Domestic Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy domestic department, with a particular focus on maintaining cleanliness across the main school and boarding houses.

Kingswood School is a welcoming and vibrant community in the heart of Bath, where staff are valued and supported.  If you have experience in cleaning and take pride in maintaining high standards while following health and safety procedures, we would love to hear from you. 

This is a part-time, year-round position, working 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 2.30pm).  The actual salary is £16,847.55 per annum, and staff benefits include free lunches, refreshments and parking around the School site (subject to availability).

Deputy Manager

The Garden nursery at Kingswood School is a vibrant, welcoming environment where children from nine months to four years thrive. Set in the stunning grounds of the School, The Garden provides a nurturing space that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

For June 2025, we are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Head of The Garden in overseeing the daily running of our nursery. In this role, you will lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of care, and stepping confidently into full leadership when required. From guiding staff development and ensuring consistency across rooms, to engaging with parents and safeguarding children, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nursery.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursery professional who has leadership experience in a nursery or pre-school setting, and also has a commitment to continuous professional development.

Room Leader / Senior Practitioner

Are you passionate about Early Years education?  Join our team as a Room Leader/Senior Practitioner in our Baby Room (18 to 27 months) at The Garden Nursery, where you’ll create a safe and engaging environment for every child.

In this role, you will share management of the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high-quality care and tailored learning experiences that align with the Early Years curriculum. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 childcare qualification and have two years of post-qualification experience, including previous experience in a leadership role. You should possess a solid understanding of child development, a caring approach, and the ability to motivate your team.

Early Years Educator

Early Years Educator (Term Time Only)

The position is fixed term for one year in the first instance, with paid holiday to be taken during Kingswood School holidays. Assistant Chef

We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced Assistant Chef to join our Senior School’s catering team. You will support the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality meals, collaborating with the kitchen porters and front-of-house team, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the catering department.

With a competitive salary of £21,750.31 per annum (including holiday pay), the role offers excellent benefits, including free refreshments and lunch, use of the School’s sports facilities, school fee remission (conditions apply), and matched pension contributions of up to 5%.

Normal hours of work are 37 per week on a 5-out-of-7 rota, (7:00 am to 3:00 pm / 11.00am to 7.00pm shifts), during term time, plus 20 days during school holidays.
