Hockey Teams Celebrate Multiple Wins
Last Tuesday, the U14As competed in the Regional Finals at Millfield. Their best performance was against Bryanston where they won 1-0 and the team drew 0-0 against Millfield who were the eventual winners. Captain Emmy led by example and Lucy was outstanding in goal. The U12s competed in their County tournament and they progressed having beaten Monkton and drawing against Colston’s. They lost against Clifton in the semi-final and Amelie and Rosie were the pick of the players.
Last Saturday, the Hockey club had 13 teams competing. The Seniors played Sherborne and there was a highly polished performance from the 3rd XI to start the second half of term, working hard on and off the ball from the word go. There were goals from Clemmie and Daisy in the first half which were rewards for some good attacking hockey. Defensively, we were equally as strong, with Grace and Anna impressive at the back. In the second half, we continued to dominate with Olivia and Alberta both scoring real poacher's goals. An excellent 4-0 win.
The Juniors played Monkton Prep and the stand out performance was the U13Bs. Jess controlled the game from centre midfield and distributed well. Florence and Freya were goal-hungry and managed to capitalise on opportunities with two excellent goals. Rosie made her debut in the Bs and made some excellent runs on the wing. A 2-0 win!
