Our Head Gardner volunteered for a local school, planting trees and hedgerows.

Our Head of Gardens, Scott recently volunteered at Saint Barnabas C of E Primary School, in Bristol, with the planting of 560 trees, with the support of Common Connection, a local authority. There were numerous volunteers and Year 5 & 6 pupils in attendance to help volunteer and plant the new hedgerow and wrapping the rabbit guards around the trees.

"For me, As Head of Gardens at Kingswood School, it was really nice to be involved in a community project and to be able to add my expertise and practical knowledge to help their school. A lot of planning, hard work and educating the pupils had gone on beforehand, and I was lovely to see the joy on the childrens' faces to be involved in the planting and also learn about why hedgerows are important and what they offer to all sorts of wildlife."
