Year 1 Host Memorable Assembly For Parents

On Wednesday, Year 1 children invited their parents and families in for a year group assembly to celebrate the fantastic work they have been doing this term.
The assembly was based on their topic ‘Up, Up and Away’.
The children really enjoyed telling the audience facts about the countries they had learnt about so far this term.
They sang songs, showed their art work, read stories and riddles that they had written.
The parents all loved being able to see all of the hard work and creativity that has gone into their work this term and they even had the chance to sing a Dutch song.
The staff were very proud of the children for speaking in such clear, big voices and for making the assembly a memorable occasion for their families.
