U14As Named Team Of The Week After Winning Regional Tournament
Kingswood’s boys’ Hockey teams enjoyed an excellent set of results this weekend with the teams unbeaten against Clifton College.
The U14As were named Team of the Week after they won their regional tournament on Thursday.
They went unbeaten throughout the day although there were some tense moments along the way, not least in the semi-final which they won on sudden death penalty strokes.
Rory made some important saves, and Raff and Fraser both held their nerve in the sudden death round to see the team into the final.
Against a talented Launceston team, the boys produced their best performance of the day to win 3-0.
They were clinical in the opposition’s ‘D’ and defended superbly with Louis, Will and player of the day Noah particularly impressive.
They will now progress to the National Finals which will take place in April.
The U12s had one of their best weeks as Felix and Owen both scored braces for the U12As in a 4-0 win that owed much to the defensive unit of Rajul, Drew, Toby, George and Charlie.
The U12Bs also impressed as Max scored twice in a 5-0 win, whilst the 1st XI and U13As also picked up two wins.
