Ten Tors Training Continues With Local 14 Mile Walk
March 18th 2019
Further Ten Tors training took place this weekend with a camp on the Upper on Saturday night and a local walk on Sunday.
Meeting on the Upper on Saturday afternoon, the Year 10 pupils cooked their evening meals and then did some route planning and navigation practice before braving the wet and windy conditions in tents on Saturday night.
The reward was a lovely clear morning and a 14 mile circular walk from the Upper taking in Little Solsbury Hill, the scenic St Catherine’s Valley and Cold Ashton and then home via Cotswold Way.
Once again, the group navigated and walked well.
The final training walk of the term will take place on Dartmoor next weekend.
