The Kingswood community came alive with the enchantment of music and thespian brilliance during the school's grand celebration of 275 years of musical and dramatic excellence.
On the Thursday preceding the half-term break, a spectacular ensemble of more than 100 actors and musicians from across the Kingswood foundation joined forces to commemorate the performing arts, resulting in an evening of pure delight and artistic brilliance.
The Prep School students showcased their theatrical prowess through LAMDA extracts and mesmerizing music solos that left the audience in awe. The Senior School, not to be outdone, presented an array of captivating performances. This included soul-stirring choir renditions, dazzling senior LAMDA performances, exquisite music soloists, theatrical excerpts from "Buckets" and "Rails," brilliantly executed by our Drama Scholars, and an exclusive sneak peek into the upcoming Senior Production, "Blue Stockings."
Adding an extra layer of artistry to the event, Westwood Voices displayed their exceptional musical theatre talents with enchanting songs from "Mamma Mia" and "Matilda the Musical." The Kingswood Choir tugged at everyone's heartstrings with their heartfelt rendition of "Come What May" from the beloved film "Moulin Rouge."
The evening marked the perfect conclusion to a busy and eventful half term. The auditorium was abuzz with enthusiasm and applause as we came together to acknowledge and admire the outstanding talents of our student actors and musicians.
