A bit about me
Ambition or talent: which matters more?
They are co-dependent and can always be developed.
Where are you most happiest?
In a local market in rural France. Under cherry blossom in Japan with family & friends or sitting in the sunshine in my parent’s garden with wonderful food/drink.
What motivates you?
Trying to be a good role model to pupils and seeing progress being made. Building positive relationships with pupils and seeing them develop curiosity and responsibility.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You do not have to follow the crowd.
If your younger self could see you now, what would they think?
They’d be surprised I work in education.
What is the greatest challenge of our time?
Overcoming intolerance and prejudice.

What was your earliest ambition?
To be a politician or chef.
In another life, what would your career be?
Sports broadcaster/journalist or lawyer.
