Boys' Hockey Team Produces Convincing Wins
The 1st XI were the sole team in action in the week before half-term and they produced two very convincing performances.
First, they overcame Monkton Combe 8-0 in the third round of the National Cup.
Two days later, there were more goals on display as they beat Beechen Cliff 10-1 to finish the half term unbeaten having scored 45 goals and conceded just six.
Year 9 & 10 House matches also took place that week, with some excellent hockey on show, demonstrating the depth of talent we have here at Kingswood.
In Year 9, a very keenly contested competition went in Middle’s favour as two narrow wins clinched the trophy.
Joe was very impressive in a more attacking role than usual for Upper but Charlie’s goals were the deciding factor.
And in Year 10, the matches were even tighter as Upper and Hall both beat Middle by a single goal before a 1-1 draw in the deciding game between the two.
However, Hall House, for whom Kit, Will and Fergus were all excellent, came out on top due to Goals scored.
