Lucas Awarded Full Colours After Great Display At Swimming Gala

On Thursday, four teams competed at Marlborough along with Winchester.

Kingswood had two swimmers in every race and the School was victorious in 11 out of the 28 races.

Georgie and Lucas had three individual wins each, Dan had two victories, and Rose and Abi had one apiece.

The U16 Girls’ Relay won both the Medley and Freestyle events.

The U16 Girls’ won their gala and the combined scores for both the U16 and Open Girls’ was a tie between Kingswood and Marlborough.

The Boys finished in second place ahead of Winchester and just behind Marlborough.

This was the last gala for the U16 and Open teams, and the Swimming Club awarded Full Colours to Lucas in Monday’s Assembly.

Lucas, who is the Boys Captain, is an outstanding swimmer who holds three school records, is unbeaten in school galas this year and has been the stand out swimmer at all events.

Lucas has helped with the coaching throughout the year and has been an excellent role model to the younger pupils.

He has also had considerable success at galas outside of school, winning a number of medals at Regional level.
