Senior Outdoor Pursuits

With fantastic views across the Welsh mountains, Kingswood’s orienteers took on the challenge of Wavering Down; an open area of The Mendips, including very steep hills and the rocky outcrop of Crook Peak.

With vague paths and lots of bushy thickets, the participants were faced with some tricky navigation.

Charlie once again took the honours in Year 7, winning his course by four minutes.

William was 3rd in his class, whilst Jim, who ran the longest course of 7.9km with 360m of climb, also scored maximum points.

Alberta was 2nd in Year 9 and Sebastian completed the Kingswood scorers.

This was the final league event of the year and Kingswood retained the title.

Mrs Hallett has congratulated all those who have competed this year.
