Inter Boys and Inter Girls Both Finish Second At 61st Ken Bailey Races

On Thursday, 32 runners travelled to Bryanston to compete in the 61^st Ken Bailey Races.

Against a very competitive field, the Kingswood teams ran strongly with many excellent individual performances helping our teams to compete at the top of the schools tables with both the Inter Boys and Inter Girls teams finishing 2^nd in their fields.

There were top 10 finishes for Archie (7^th), Jim (4^th), Olly (6^th), Lizzie (6^th), Ciara (10^th) and Lucy (9^th).

Runner of the Week could have gone to any number of individuals.

Izzy ran superbly pushing Ciara all the way in the Inter Girls and Jamie ran strongly to finish as a key counter for the Inter Boys.

But in the end it had to be awarded jointly to our four Junior Girls runners, whose solidarity and spirit in helping one of their own over the line was admirable.
