196 Students Attend Charity Ball In Aid Of Open Arms Malawi

On Saturday, the annual Year 10 and 11 Charity Ball took place with 196 pupils attending.

The Ball Committee did a fantastic job organising ticket sales and the seating plan with a number of Year 10, 11 and Lower Sixth students coming in on Saturday afternoon to decorate the Dining Hall and lay the tables.

Students arrived at 7pm with the evening starting with fruit cocktails in the Theatre Foyer before being escorted to their tables in the Dining Hall.

A number of Sixth Form students and members of staff gave up their time to act as waiters and waitresses as well as helping washing up.

The band, consisting of five students in the Lower Sixth, entertained the guests during the meal.

The Catering department did an amazing job with the meal, with the desserts going down particularly well!

25 prizes had been kindly donated by parents and other members of the Kingswood community for the Charity Raffle with over £600 raised for Open Arms in Malawi.
