U15As and U14Bs Share Team Of The Week In Good Week For Kingswood’s Rugby Teams

Kingswood’s rugby teams enjoyed the better of the block fixture against Dauntsey’s with the U15As and U14Bs named Team of the Week.

The U15As finally got the reward for all of their hard work this season by claiming their first win.

A number of players were required to play out of position due to unavailability but did so willingly and to good effect.

James and Tom were influential as they consistently made ground but Sunichi tackled relentlessly and deservedly claimed the Man of the Match award.

Having lost by 10 points last year, an outstanding all-round performance saw the U14Bs secure a 47-0 victory against a strong Dauntsey’s side.

The forwards set the tone with some hard carrying from Oliver and Sol, and Noah’s and Peter’s decision making at half back was controlled and mature.

It was a team effort that helped ensure the victory, as exemplified by the defensive effort in the last 10 minutes, despite being 47-0 up, to keep their opponents scoreless.

Elsewhere, the 2^nd XV continued their form in winning close games with a 17-10 win and both U13 teams put in their best performances of the season.
