U13As Named Team Of The Week In Strong Block Fixture Vs BGS

On Saturday, Kingswood’s hockey teams played a typically strong block fixture against Bristol Grammar School (BGS).

The U13As were named Team of the Week after they won their match 7-2 on the back of some good performances at the Prior Park Tournament on Wednesday.

Alice was in particularly fine form and scored the goal of the game with a lifted strike into the top corner.

The entire team maintained their intensity throughout the match and showed considerable skill in their overall performance.

Elsewhere, the 1^st XI put in a spirited performance to draw against a strong BGS side who had just returned from a tour of Asia.

Lizzie scored Kingswood’s goal and there were also strong performances from Jess, Lily and Iris.

The U12s did very well to win three of their four matches with Scarlett scoring for the As, Gabby keeping goal well to help the Bs to victory and Freya leading the Cs to a 2-1 win. The Ds recorded a 3-2 win thanks to some resolute defending.
