On Saturday, Kingswood's athletes travelled to Millfield to compete against eight other schools.

The athletes enjoyed the fabulous weather and showed how much work they have done on their fitness over the past few months with some more encouraging performances against strong competition.

Kingswood's athletes were placed in the top three positions in a range of events with wins being recorded in the U17 boys 100m, Hurdles and Long Jump.

In the U16 competition, there were wins in the Triple Jump, Long Jump and 100m.

Meanwhile, in the girls competition, there were wins in the Javelin, 100m, 200m and Discus. In the U15 competition, there were some strong performances in the running events with victories in the 200m and 1500m, with Grace winning both the 300m and 800m.

The Athletics Club have confirmed that Lizzie set a new 1500m Senior Girls record at Marlborough College last week with a time of 5mins 5.3secs. She beat the previous record, which had stood since 1985, by almost 20 seconds.
