Black History Month

Over the course of October, we celebrated Black History Month across the school in recognition of brilliant black role models to enthuse and educate the Kingswood community. Pupils and parents engaged with inspirational talks such as, ‘Black Heroes in Mathematics’ by Dr Nira Chamberlain OBE, a ‘Past Pupil & Parent Panel’ where alumni and parents were able to share their journeys and a Q & A session with Bath Rugby player, Miles Reid. Pupils were also able to be involved and appreciate the arts by focusing on black artists and creatives through poetry, music and films within the curriculum.
