We Are Kingswood - Millie - Year 1 Teacher
As we look towards September, we wanted to re-introduce our #WeAreKingswood series to let you meet some members of staff joining our community for the upcoming academic year.
Millie Parry, who will be joining the Prep School as a Year 1 teacher told us all about why she loves teaching and answered a few quick-fire questions...
Why do you love teaching?
I love how every day is different when you are a teacher! Every lesson is a new opportunity to spread a love in learning and to have fun. I love being able to watch each child find a passion and interest in something and helping them develop that, whether it's dinosaurs, flowers, minibeasts or superheroes!
Tell us about your hobbies...
I love being active in my free time, and often go cycling, paddle boarding and play tennis. I also tap dance once a week. At the weekends, I enjoy reading and playing board games with friends!
If you couldn't be a teacher, what would you be?
I've always wanted to be a teacher, but if I had to choose something else maybe a sports coach!?
A few quick-fire questions...
Favourite food? Ice cream!
Favourite children's book? I have two! Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson and Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andrede and Guy Parker-Rees
Little Mix or Take That? Take That!
Coffee or Tea? Tea! I have about 3 cups a day.
Finally, what are you most looking forward to about joining KPS?
Meeting my new class and being able to make use of all the space at KPS for outdoor learning.
