Mr Duke Completes Charity Climb

Our Lower School Boarding Housemaster, Mr Duke, has now reached his goal of climbing the Westwood staircase 972 times - the equivalent of the 8,848 metres it takes to summit Mount Everest. This was to raise funds for the Hami Nepal Youth Organisation, in aid of whom he has now raised over £900. Hami Nepal are providing vital aid to communities across Nepal as the country grapples with a severe Covid-19 crisis, distributing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), medicine and other essentials. 

This is a cause particularly close to the heart of the Kingswood community as the school has always enjoyed links with the country, especially in recent years as we now have a strong contingent of boarding pupils of Nepalese heritage across the Foundation. Well done Mr Duke!
