Senior Cross Country

With current government restrictions preventing us from venturing the South West to attend Cross Country meets, it was welcome news to receive an invitation to a virtual relay from Leweston School earlier in the term.

Competing teams had to map and submit 2.4km courses, which took Kingswood runners imaginatively around the Upper - it was flat and destined to be fast.

However, when the team attempted it, it had grown dark and the famous Upper winds whipped up to make conditions a challenge.

Despite this Kingswood ran hard; the Senior Girls team of Lizzie, Grace, Emily and Evie all finished in the top ten of the submitted runners times to see the Senior Girls team win overall, with Lizzie 3rd.

In the Inter Boys, strong runs from Freddie, 4th and Jacob, 9th helped the team to 4th position while the Senior Boys team ran well to finish 3rd overall, with Jamie just beating Jim to the finish line.

Given the conditions, everyone put in very strong times and the team is looking in excellent shape should the season kick off in earnest next term.
