Positive Results For Boy’s Hockey Teams Vs Prior Park
Last week brought another positive set of results for our hockey teams.
From the 10 matches against Prior Park, there were seven wins and one draw as well as some some practice matches against the Prep school for some of our Year 7 teams.
The 1st XI conceded late on in a high quality match which ended in a draw.
The U16XI and 3rd XI both won on Thursday with Jonny and George impressing.
Alfie scored a hat-trick for the U12A’s and Jasper also managed that fate for the U14Bs as both teams won convincingly.
Team of the week does to the U15A’s who came back from a goal behind to win 2-1 against a team they had previously lost to.
Prior Park were well organised and controlled the beginning of the match and were justly rewarded with a sharply taken rebound after a good block from Rory.
Kingswood gradually worked themselves back into the match and as Prior started to tire, Oskar made an incisive run which split the opponent’s defence and made an accurate pass to Raff who finished calmly to even the scores.
Harry, Will and Louis played well in midfield, moving the ball nicely and creating several opportunities.
The winning goal was a spectacular piece of reaction from Raff.
Prior created some chances late on in the match but Rory made some good saves to ensure the win.
