Kingswood Takes Winning Title In Swimming Gala

Last Monday Kingswood hosted a Swimming Gala against Dauntsey’s finishing in the top three out of four age groups. 

The U16 Girls won five out of seven events. 

Georgie won both the individual medley and butterfly and Maisie came first the backstroke. 

Kingswood also won both relays.

Menina and Anisha were the pick of the Open Girls with wins in the breaststroke and backstroke respectively.

The U16 and Open Boys also performed well and both had clean sweeps.

In the U16 gala Dan and Will had two individual wins apiece and Will won the other event.

Freddie completed the winning relay team.

Lucas was the stand out swimmer for the Open Boys breaking the backstroke record and winning the individual medley. 

Lucas now holds four out of the five individual senior records as well as one of the relay records. 

He has two more galas in the school pool to try and become the first Kingswood student to get a full house.

Nick, Tayo and Ted all picked up individual wins. 

Marcus completed the relay team which won both the medley and freestyle events and broke the record for the freestyle one

The combined scores for all four galas were Kingswood 205 and Dauntsey’s 143 - a clear win for Kingswood.
