Successful Results For Senior Hockey Teams Against Cheltenham College And Dean Close
Kingswood’s Hockey teams enjoyed another excellent set of results against Dean Close and Cheltenham College last week.
The U12A team produced an outstanding first half display to take a 7-0 lead at half-time against Dean Close, with Charlie scoring a hat-trick in a 9-0 win.
Alex also managed three goals for the U12Bs and Ted did the same for the U14As, as they beat Cheltenham College 5-0.
The remaining games against Cheltenham were much harder fought affairs as the U14Bs and both U15 teams won by a single goal.
The 4th XI also got their season off to a winning start with a 2-0 victory, but the Team of the Week were the 1st XI.
Without two of their front line players, they managed a 4-0 win against a good Cheltenham College team.
Man of the Match Ben was on superb form and he dominated the midfield exchanges, as well as scoring twice from penalty corners.
The other goal scorers were Ed, who deflected in another well worked corner, and Harvey.
Charlie also impressed in midfield and the defensive unit did well to keep a clean sheet – an excellent start to the regular season from the whole squad.
