160 Pupils Take Part In Annual Cross Country Event
On Monday, the Prep pupils welcomed a host of schools from Bath and the surrounding area to take part in its annual Cross Country event.
160 boys took part in the event in total and the pupils enjoyed running around Kingswood’s beautiful grounds.
The aim was for the children to have a positive experience of running without really taking into account positions or placings.
The children started the afternoon by self-selecting which race they wanted to take part in within their specific year group.
Once these races had concluded, the onus was then put on the boys to select a relay team of four or five people to run around the course again, starting and finishing at different points on the course.
The teachers were impressed with the pupils’ participation in the event and the children themselves had fun running alongside their friends from other schools.
