The Kingswood rugby teams were involved in numerous matches this week, including the 1st XV match, which saw Kingswood fight back from a half-time deficit to lose by a single point courtesy of a late Malvern score.

The U14Bs picked up a win against strong Malvern opposition and the U12Bs claimed a victory against Millfield in midweek with Man of the Match Henry scoring a hat-trick.

The performance of the day on Saturday arguably came from the U12As who beat Beechen Cliff 35-5, playing their best rugby of the season so far.

The whole team played well and there were some strong performances from Rowan and Jack who were particularly effective at the breakdown.

Team of the Week, however goes to the 2nd XV who picked up two wins.

On Saturday they won a match against Malvern 42-26, scoring six tries, all converted by Matthew.

Nick scored four tries, Ben picked up his first try for the 2nd XV and Charlie produced a Man of the Match performance on his debut.

On Thursday, they took on the Prior Park 1st XV and emerged with a 14-12 victory.

Bert was involved heavily in both first half tries, firstly breaking the line to set up Ollie and then executing a well-worked backs move finished by Harry.

The team showed determination to hold on for a win and Tom was named Man of the Match.
