Senior Music

On Sunday evening, a full theatre enjoyed an evening of entertainment as the six Senior Houses served up a colourful, energetic and enthusiastic mix of Ensemble and House Song performances.

The evening began with a rendition of the Nina Simone song ‘Feeling Good’ by Middle and Summerhill, with Tomiwo on lead vocals, and was followed by School and Upper’s version of ‘Shine’ by Take That.

The final Ensemble piece was Hall and Fonthill’s performance of ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond.

Then followed the House Song Performances with Middle and Summerhill starting things off with Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat it’.

Next up were School and Upper with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ by One Direction and finally Hall and Fonthill with ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John.

The winners on the night for the Ensemble were Middle and Summerhill and for the House Performance, School and Upper, who got to repeat their winning performance to bring an excellent evening to a close.

The leadership shown by senior pupils in all of the Houses throughout the day was impressive and the sense of House spirit clearly remains as strong as it ever was.

Thank you to Mr Matthews, the Theatre Tech team, Mr Woodgate, Mr Davies and Miss Wilson for ensuring the event was a success.
