Junior And Senior Tennis Players Put In Impressive Performances

Kingswood Tennis Club enjoyed a full block fixture this weekend with the Seniors playing Bryanston and the Juniors playing Dean Close Prep School.

The Seniors won the overall fixture 5-1 and there was some consistent tennis on show given the windy conditions.

The 1^st team enjoyed a 6-3 win, and Amber and Alice were named Pair of the Match for showing great resilience and composure during the matches and for their excellent show making.

The U14Bs also impressed with some excellent groundstrokes and good volleying.

The whole team kept a clean sheet not dropping a single set which is very impressive considering the quality of the Bryanston opposition.

The Juniors had very competitive matches and unfortunately lost the block.

The U12As were named Team of the Week after they secured a very close 5-4 win.

The first pair of Amy and Anna worked well as they went on to win all three of their sets and complimented each other well.

Grace and Hazel played some lovely groundstrokes and were unlucky to lose out to the Dean Close 1^st pair.

Iona was dynamic on the baseline whilst Issy was very effective at the net.

The team have shown good progress over the term and thoroughly deserved the win.
