The 1st XI and U14Bs have shared Team of the Week after an excellent week for Kingswood’s Boys’ Cricket teams as they won six out of eight fixtures against King Edward’s School (KES).

For the 1st XI, Hamish made 83, Marcus 39 and Noah 43 as they posted a very competitive 224-7.

Matthew then took the first three wickets in an excellent opening spell and Marcus also picked up 2-26 to see them to an 84 run win against a strong KES team.

The U14Bs secured the biggest victory margin, winning by 188 runs.

Oskar and Rory both scored unbeaten half centuries as Kingswood racked up 169-1.

Despite using eight different bowlers, the team bowled just one wide as they dismissed the opposition for 51 to complete an outstanding all-round performance.

Elsewhere, Elliot and Harry saw the U14As home in a tricky run chase, and Ollie took 4-3 after John had made an excellent 50 to beat a good KES team.

Charlie’s blistering innings of 43 off 15 balls saw the 2nd XI to a 10 wicket victory.

In Girls’ Cricket, the teams enjoyed their first block fixture against KES.

The U13As and U15As played a 15 over hard ball game whilst the B teams played pairs cricket.

The U13As were named Team of the Week as Sophie’s impressive bowling took four wickets in her two overs.

Alice and Clemmie produced the best batting figures and the match came down to Kingswood having to score three off the final over.

Lily and Lauren finished the match off scoring the last crucial wins.

Meanwhile, the U13Bs won 261-257 with stand-out batters including Olivia and Aoife.

Scarlett clinched the win for Kingswood by taking a wicket in the penultimate ball of the match.

The U15Bs won by one run and Bea was on form whilst the U15As won by 46 runs.

Alberta was instrumental with the bat for the U15As whilst Jess opened the bowling superbly with figures of three overs, two maidens, two for two.
