Athletes Do Kingswood Proud On And Off The Track

The Girls enjoyed their first outing at Dauntsey’s brand new track in sunny conditions against eight other schools at the weekend.

Results have not yet been received but the small inter and senior team are to be commended on their positive and determined participation.

Personal Bests were recorded by Grace in the 800m and Tobina in the 1500m.

Congratulations also to Alice who won the 100m which is extremely impressive considering she is in Year 8 and was competing against Year 10 and 11 girls.

Due to a number of athletes being involved in Ten Tors and the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh, the majority of the boys team competed out of their age group.

The young team performed very well, recording a number of PBs and trialling new events.

Rob produced one of the performances of the day for Kingswood when the won the U17 800m running a powerful race.

Gustav, Ethan and Toby must be commended for the support and coaching they offered to the younger athletes whilst the staff were officiating a field event. A fine display of the positive values that Kingswood stands for.
