U12Bs, 1st Team and U13As Impress As Cricket Season Gets Underway

The Cricket season got underway in earnest last week with Kingswood’s teams winning nine of the 12 matches played.

There was a good first win for the U12Bs and the 1^st team finished the week strongly with three impressive performances.

Louis and Hamish were the first two players to pass 50 this season and there were also impressive bowling displays from Monty, Matthew and Angus.

The U13As were named Team of the Week after they hit the ground running after their pre-season preparations in La Manga, Spain.

Against Beechen Cliff, excellent bowling from Ollie and Charlie reduced the opposition to 71 all out.

Joe and Will then knocked the runs off in quick time for a 10 wicket run.

On Tuesday, the first round of the National, they were too strong for Bournemouth School.

On a difficult pitch, it was Joe and Will again who got the team to a competitive total but this time it was John who was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5-16.

They now go on to face Blundell’s in the second round.
