1st And 2nd Football Teams Play Evenly Contested Fixtures Vs QEH
The 1st and 2nd Football teams travelled to Bristol on Thursday to play QEH in very windy conditions.
The 1st XI were once again victorious thanks mainly to their persistence, with Joe scoring in the first half after capitalising on a defensive mistake.
QEH equalised shortly after to send the two teams into half time level.
The contest looked like it was heading for a draw but a late flurry of goals ensured the match stayed entertaining right until the end.
Ollie finished well from the edge of the box which looked to be enough to seal the victory but, once again, this was swiftly followed by an equaliser from the home team.
Joe then scored his second of the game and what proved to be the winner with a great strike to the goalkeeper’s right hand side.
The 2nd XI were not able to make the most of the chances they created whilst their opponents scored with each of theirs, eventually going on to win 4-0.
Both teams will travel to Clifton College this week in the first football fixture between the two schools.
