U14As Celebrate Outstanding Week After County Tournament Win
The weather accounted for the majority of fixtures last week and made the team of the week decision very straight forward.
Despite being the only team to play any hockey last week, the U14As had an outstanding few days.
On Tuesday, they played a Beechen Cliff side with whom they have had some very tight matches with in previous years.
The U14As produced an exceptional second half display, scoring six goals, to record a 7-1 win.
Fraser was named Player of the Match after scoring a hat-trick and there was a superb goal from Harry.
Then on Thursday, Kingswood competed in the County Tournament and despite losing narrowly to Bristol Grammar School, the U14As ended up winning the competition due to superior goal difference, thanks largely to an impressive 4-0 win over Colston’s.
Kingswood played some excellent hockey throughout the day and, despite the poor conditions, passed accurately and created many chances in the short 20 minute matches.
The entire squad came away with great credit but Kit was the outstanding player on the day whilst Rory in goal made a couple of outstanding saves.
They have now progressed through to the Regional rounds of the competition.
