U13 Netball Team Praised After Winning Tournament

With matches cancelled due to the weather on Saturday, the only fixtures to survive the weather were the U13 tournament at Millfield School on Wednesday and the 1^st VII’s match against Clifton on Thursday.

The 1^st VII secured a 37-19 victory with Jess named Player of the Match whilst the U13 team would probably have been selected as Team of the Week had there been a full programme of fixtures.

They won the prestigious tournament beating hosts Millfield in the semi-final before comfortably winning the final match against Redmaids.

The girls played some fantastic netball with great defending from Emily and Clemmie which created many turnovers leading to goals.

The shooters were also in top form, scoring over 40 goals throughout the day.

However, the entire squad worked very hard, with energy and determination, but the Sport department have praised Immy and Alice for their leadership, motivating the squad and giving positive encouragement throughout the day.
