Training for Ten Tors got off to a very successful start with a trip to the Mendips on Sunday.

Two Year 10 groups walked a 13 mile circular route from Priddy including passing through the Ebor Gorge.

The Year 12 group completed a 15 mile linear route along the Mendips from west to east.

The weather was cold but clear, allowing impressive views.

Given that this was the first training walk, the pace and standard of navigation was excellent.

Training continues on the Marlborough Downs in a fortnight.
