Kingswood Netball Club Enjoy Excellent Opening Weekend

It was an excellent first weekend for Kingswood’s netball teams with the Seniors winning all of their matches against Prior Park and Westwood having closely fought games against Monkton Combe Prep School.

The 1^st VII secured a 45-20 victory with Emily dominating the mid-court and the team’s shooters converting a high percentage of shots.

Lexi controlled the defensive area very well but it was the combination of plays by the whole slide which was particularly impressive.

It was a similar story for all our sides against Prior Park with Kingswood recording impressive tallies for their first matches of the season.

The Westwood teams had far closer matches with our U12Bs and U12Cs narrowly losing in close games but Team of the Week goes to the U13Bs who beat Monkton Prep School’s 1^st VII 14-11.

Maisie was named Player of the Match in that fixture for her consistent shooting whilst Lauren also had a very good game.

However, it was the team play which really impressed and gave Kingswood the edge in a closely fought victory.

The Sport department have congratulated all of Kingswood’s teams on an excellent first weekend.

The Netball Club announced in Monday’s Assembly that the Captain for the Season if Emily and Vice-Captain is Lexi.
