The fourth orienteering league event of the season was held at Ashton Court in Bristol yesterday.

This is an area of parkland with plenty of open grassland to entice runners to use their speed.

However, it is also quite hilly in places and there are scattered areas of woodland which are surprisingly technical, needing a change of speed for fine navigation.

Kingswood, once again, had a good number of winners.

Charlie was the first Year 7 on the yellow course, taking just under 16 minutes to complete the 2.3km course.

Meanwhile, Sebastian, Oliver and Lucy all won their age groups with Jamie finishing 2nd and Alberta in 3rd.

Tobina made a promising start with a shadowed run on the orange course at her first event which she then followed with a solo run on the yellow course.
