Senior Charity

On the last Saturday in November, the Sixth Form Charity Meal took place in the Kingswood Dining Hall.

This event was in support of three charities; Hope and Homes, Jamie’s Farm and Open Arms Malawi.

Hope and Homes supports children into loving stable families from orphanages.

Jamie’s Farm is a local charity which enables young people to thrive academically, socially and emotionally on a farming residential.

Open Arms provides essential care for orphaned and abandoned children in Malawi.

The evening consisted of talks from each Head of House explaining their past, current and future charity work.

Additionally, students enjoyed musical performances from their peers who set a lovely tone to the evening all singing beautifully with accompaniments from Sixth Form students.

Charlotte performed her own written monologue which filled the room with laughter whilst Kingswood’s very own boy band came out of retirement and performed Take That’s ‘Shine’ and an encore of their original ‘I want it that way’ which proved a brilliant end to the evening.

A large amount of money was raised at the raffle and throughout the evening for the three charities.
