Pupils Represent Kingswood At International Student Voice Competition

November 26th 2018
On Tuesday, some of Kingswood’s international students attended the International Student Voice competition.
Participants gave speeches on a topic of their choice in front of an audience of fellow students and teaching staff.
Jacqueline and Katya represented Kingswood in the Year 7-10 group with both giving engaging speeches on ‘Two Chinese Words’ and ‘The Differences Between Schools in Russia and the UK’. Katya's speech earned her a special commendation from the judges.
In the Year 11-13 group, Mai was Kingswood’s representative, giving a speech on ‘Ikigai’ – a Japanese word meaning the source of value in someone’s life.
Mai’s talk was exceptionally well prepared and presented, and she came second.
