On Sunday, two minibuses left Kingswood for the first beach clean-up at Newton Beach, Porthcawl in Wales.

The group split into two teams with one group scouring the dunes for plastic and litter whilst the other group walked along the beach to search for rubbish.

From windbreakers to straws, parasols to bottle caps and a doll's head to bicycle lights, the group found lots of recyclable waste on the 3km stretch of beach.

The group then stopped for a lunch break which was followed by a competitive game of rounders on the beach with Mr Brown and his son carrying their team to victory.

The group returned to Kingswood with the rubbish which will be sorted and recycled by MJ Church.
