Kingswood Perform Well At BANES Cross Country Championships
Last week, Kingswood hosted the BANES Cross Country Championships on the Upper.
On the whole, Kingswood’s teams performed very well winning six of the eight team competitions.
One of the highlights was the Senior Girls race which saw Kingswood occupy the top four positions with Lizzie, Lucy, Lily and Alexandra all running extremely well.
In the Junior Girls race, Kingswood had four pupils in the top 10 with Grace finishing in 2nd which helped Kingswood finish with over 100 points less than King Edward’s in 2nd place.
Three pupils finished in the top 10 of the Minor Girls race which saw Kingswood finish top of the team competition with 112 points with Hayesfield finishing in 2nd.
In the Junior Boys race, Will finished in 3rd place with Freddie shortly behind in 7th. This helped Kingswood to a 2nd place finish behind Monkton but ahead of Norton Hill.
Kingswood finished ahead of Norton Hill in the Intermediate Girls, scoring 121 points with Emily and Evie finishing in the top 10.
Three pupils finished in the top six in the Intermediate Boys to help Kingswood finish top of the team competition with 72 points, 74 points ahead of Chew Valley in 2nd.
In the Senior Boys race, Lucas finished in 3rd place with Noah, Ben and Julius all finishing in the top 10 to help Kingswood secure 1st place in the team competition.
