Annual Parents, Staff And Pupil Tennis Event A Huge Success

On Sunday afternoon, 20 people played some enjoyable tennis is in the annual Parents, Staff and Pupil tennis event.

Everyone played five 20 minute matches with the objective being to win as many games as possible.

There were some very competitive matches and a good standard of tennis was played.

At the barbeque that followed, the results were announced. Catherine March-Smith was the leading scorer for the parents and Tom for the pupils. The highest scorer overall with 29 games was Director of Development, Graham Papenfus.

Elsewhere, it was another successful afternoon of tennis for Kingswood’s Girls’ Tennis Club on Saturday after they won five out of their six fixtures.

The U14As have been named Team of the Week after they battled hard to edge a very close match 5-4.

Rose and Annie played very well to take two games off an outstanding first pair from Prior Park. With the match balanced at four sets each, second pair Bella and Georgie had to dig deep to come from behind, and win the crucial last set.

The U12s enjoyed a resounding win against their opponents with all three pairs playing some excellent tennis whilst the Bs also enjoyed a good match against their Prior counterparts.
