Kingswood Prep Sponsor Owlet Ahead Of Owls Of Bath Trail
Yesterday, a group of children from the Nursery and two Year 6 pupils went to the Royal Crescent for the launch of Minerva’s Owls of Bath trail.
The three-month trail will see more than 80 owls displayed across Bath and the surrounding area with Kingswood sponsoring one of the owlets.
Blossom, which was named, designed and decorated by children in the Nursery, was one of the 30 owls on display for the launch of the public art event yesterday morning.
The Nursery children were reunited with Blossom, got to see some of the other amazing owls and got to meet some real owls.
When the trial starts on Monday 25 June, Blossom will be located in Victoria Art Gallery on Bridge Street and will remain there until the trail ends on Monday 10 September.
After the trail, Blossom will return to Kingswood and to her new home at The Garden At Kingswood, the School’s new 50-week Nursery which will open in September.
The Owls of Bath trail will be a fantastic day out during the summer holidays. The owl trail maps, which feature Blossom on the front cover, are available for £2 from outlets across the city, including the Visitor Information Centre, Waterstones and Bath Aqua Glass.
In addition, the free Bath Directory App will send you information about each owl as you approach them via interactive beacons within each Owl.
At the end of the trail, some of the owls will be auctioned off to raise money for the Royal United Hospital Cancer Centre, the Bath Young Carers Centre, the Roman Baths Archway Project and the Bath-based UK Little Owl Project.
If you find Blossom on the trail this summer, be sure to take a photo with her and post it on social media using #BlossomAtKingswood.
