Girls Win Five Out Of Six Matches In Successful Weekend For Tennis Club

In Girls' tennis, Kingswood enjoyed a successful afternoon against King Edward's, winning five out of the six fixtures against King Edward's.

The U12s were named Team of the Week thanks to an excellent performance from Emily and Martha which saw the As win 8-1. A good team performance from the U12Bs saw them win 6-3 with Issy playing very well on her debut for the School.

Both U13 teams won well with Romy and Olivia winning their final set match decider, and Lola and Grace won their matches without dropping a set.

The only defeat was decided by a very high quality final set decider. The U14A pair of Rose and Annie just lost out to a very strong King Edward's first pair.

In Boys' tennis, windy conditions at Downside made it difficult. However, Tom and John won two of their three matches, and Jonny and Alex adjusted to the circumstances well to win all of their matches.

Gabriel and Matthew also played some excellent doubles to win two matches in the well-spirited fixture.
