On Saturday, 130 Drama and Music students plus invited guests gathered for the 15th annual KATS awards.

After a fantastic two course meal, the students and guests were treated to an inspirational speech by Kingswood Alumni Oscar Batterham. Now an actor, Oscar spoke about the importance of taking risks, following your heart and not giving up on a dream.

The awards ceremony then began with 15 accolades being presented. A full list of these will appear in this week’s newsletter. In between the presentations, the audience was entertained by a number of musical performances with James singing ‘One Enchanted Evening’, Alice performing ‘Yellow’ and Ellie singing ‘Tears Dry on Their Own’.

In addition to this, there was a clever and witty cello and violin duet called ‘Evolution of Music’ performed by Easton and Anna, and a comedy sketch performed by Conor and Charlotte.
