Excellent Week For Kingswood Tennis Club

There was another set of excellent tennis fixtures last week with the girls winning the block fixture against Prior Park on Thursday and drawing with Dauntsey's on Saturday.

Ellie and Ella impressed for the 1st VI after they took the first set of the season off Prior Park's very strong first pair. The 2nds, 3rds and 4ths all had comprehensive wins with none of the teams losing a set.

Against Dauntsey's, there were some closely fought matches but the Team of the Week goes to the U12s. In their first fixture, they beat a good Dauntsey's team 8-1 with neither the A or B team dropping a set.

Meanwhile, both the 1st and 2nd boys teams recorded pleasing victories against Prior Park on Thursday. Zach and Zoltan had an impressive start to the season with a crucial win against Prior Park's 2nd pair. They then sealed the win with a 6-2 win against their opposite numbers.

On Saturday, the 2nd team had a good win against Dean Close with the pairing of Aves and Ken combining well in the 9-0 victory.

For the 1st team, there were some excellent rallies and deuce games as Cameron and Jonny eventually lost to Dean Close's 1st pair in an exciting match.
