Girls’ Tennis Season Underway With U15As Named Team Of The Week

The Girls' Senior tennis teams started with a tough set of fixtures against Dean Close at the weekend. They narrowly lost the block fixture 4-3 but all matches were very well contested and many went down to the final games in each set.

The 1st team lost six sets to three, and the 2nd and 3rd teams both won well with Grace and Emily holding their nerves in the final set to secure a 9-0 victory for the 3rds.

The U15As have been named Team of the Week after they won a very tight match 5-4. Each set was closely fought and the match came down to the final set where Beth and Evelyn kept their composure to win 6-5 and edge a terrific contest.

At Junior level, the U12 and U13B teams played Monkton Combe's A Teams. Although Kingswood's teams lost both matches 5-4, there were lots of positives and their performances provide a lot of promise for the rest of the season.
